So great! I love watching the implosion in slow motion. Some tried to warn them that using the most offensive, most fear-inducing, most unhinged rhetoric would backfire. It caused a loss of trust and it desensitized everyone. They could scream fire in a crowded theater and maybe 1 person would move. Receipts.
This is a great dive into the sordid uses of certain "political" language, call it the "Nosferatu Effect," in the case of all these political "vermin." Makes me want to listen to Black Sabbath's "Rat Salad."
it's ALL narrative and theater! The cabal running the show love confusion and vitriol. It really doesn't matter who spews "vermin" out of their mouths. I bet they get paid by the sentence, tweet and headline that includes it.
I notice that nowhere in this piece do you condemn using ‘vermin’ to describe political opponents. Do you think using such language is ever warranted? Does it make a difference if the candidate himself does it? Does Trump advocate policies similar to Hitler or Mussolini? Without more context all ypu’ve done is repeat quotes from people who are not candidates and one or two from Biden.
Great job Orf! But they aren't mainstream anymore. Media has been largely democratized. "mainstream media" should be replaced with "corporate media".
Just became a paid subscriber. Keep up the good work Matt!

Great job as always next let's see how many Israeli officials call Palestinians vermin.. it's oodles!
Well, I know two "vermins" I'll never ever vote for--Biden and Trump. Vote Green Party!
I wish Trump was even half what Leftists think he is.

remimd me is "slime" worse or better than "vermin" so darn confusing
But very unlike Hitler in all other ways… So far a champion of the Israeli State, and a POTUS who never went to war.
Not very Hitleresque!

An INCREDIBLE chant – a Palestinian-Jordan singer – in two parts @llunrmusic
