Before if you'd Google me, the top search results were my YouTube and Twitter profiles. But after sharing my recent #TwitterFiles thread, I noticed that my Twitter feed and Youtube channel had been de-ranked in Google search results.

For some odd reason, LinkedIn and SoundCloud—both of which I haven’t used in many years—became the top search results. This changed again recently, as today 5/4/23, YouTube is back to being the top search result. However, Twitter is still de-ranked.
Earlier this week, my Twitter ranked below IMDb, Pinterest, and someone else's 2016 Facebook post. How could someone else’s 7-year-old Facebook post rank higher up in results than my own Facebook/Twitter?
Today, with the exception of the Facebook post, these inactive pages, including Pinterest—which I’ve never used beyond creating an account over 10 years ago—still appear ahead of my Twitter feed.

The results will continue to change with the algorithm. I can’t explain these shifts. But I can say, whether intended to or not, the algorithm suppressed traffic to my YouTube and Twitter pages, at least temporarily.
Thank you for ALL your masterpieces and hard work.
